For Haiti – A Prayer

So many have come
In prayer
In care
To bring you life and love

The poor and helpless
The sad
The lonely
Crying out in despair

The crowds upon crowds
Packed in
Trapped in
A community crushed from within

The life that comes calling
The faith within stalling
All build to a new
Better day
In the wake of the rest
Pain we all detest
The only hope to come
Is hope

As you share the story with the world
Of loss
And miracle
The tears will all flow

As the families all deal and heal
With unknowns
And despair
In faith you will be delivered

And let’s pray that this endless night
Will end
And will mend
And needless, won’t happen again

I had pray, I am not religious, in a desperate intent, for all those, black and white, who suffer, in Haiti, to they really feel they are not alone. Whatever, we can do, each one, for each sacred person, sharing with solidarity, sharing with the world, they will see it. Stand with them, in thoughts, heart and actions.
But, each time, that such a catastrophic unfair event touch, moreover, the poorest, or all those who gave their love, life and death for them, I wonder, why, what God would allow that ?

  2. Darrell Childress says:

It’s true…the only hope the people of Haiti seem to have, is hope. Many, many prayers are going up on behalf of a devastated people. We all need to do our part, whatever it is we can.

  3. Sheila says:

    Hi there.

I’m from Brazil and had been “following” you. We have some people from brazilian Army that died today in Haiti and also a very special woman, that worked all her life for the kids that live in poverty here. She was on Haiti for a conference tomorrow. Her name was Zilda Arns.

Pray for her and the other brazilians either. Thanks 🙂

    See ya.

  4. Natalia says:

I will pray ,all the night.
For each person, of Haiti. I am, with you.
    With my heart.

  5. Pete Olsen says:

    Amen
