Stranded – Jayz, Bono, Rihanna, The Edge

Listen here:

I think this is just an absolutely stunning song. Amazing performance. Too bad Bono’s mic wasn’t working well. I downloaded the iTunes version. I can’t find lyrics so I did the best I could. I will correct as I find out more.

Lyrics here, more below:
LL – there is what sounds like Creole at the beginning of the iTunes version The first 5 lines are here based on what it sounds like – please send me the reality!
“may apea
shy pa lu
sa vie packa be
issa cappo
o montia rivier”

When the sky falls
And the earth quakes
Gonna put this back together
But won’t break

When the sky falls
And the earth quakes
Gonna put this back together
But won’t break

Sa Pa Sé
The port of princes
My Haitan God
And all my princesses

Our condolences
As you fight against this
We\re right by your side
As we try to make sense of this

Heavenly father
Help us see through these problems
And for those in death
Accept them into your garden

See here’s my theory
The country’s already starving
So we sacrifice meaning
To shed light on all of them

God please pardon
I speak from my heart
It’s the only way I can see
This tragedy befallen them

So let’s rescue them all with them
Hand in hand with them
Arm in arm with them
Til they get strong again

When the sky falls
And not tomorrow
Can’t wait
Until tomorrow

Hey, Haiti a mi amore
Haiti mon amore
Not gonna leave you stranded
Oh no, oh no oh no

When the sky falls
And the earth quakes
Gonna put this back together
But won’t break

When the sky falls
And the earth quakes
Gonna put this back together
But won’t break

Learn from the past
New Orleans was flooded
So we know
We can’t just rely on the government

Under the rubble again
Here we go rumblin when
When we gonna catch a break
My friend lost his mother and then
And then
Colleen lost her uncles and then
Buried with no caskets
They just put covers on them

And the tears fall
And we fight back
Story ain’t done
Can’t invite that
No not like this

Tomorrow’s survivors
Gonna carry on your name
You live on inside us
Your memories survive with us
You inspired us
Rebuild this country
You just guide us

And not tomorrow
Can’t wait
Until tomorrow

Hey, Haiti a mi amore
Haiti mon amore
Not gonna leave you stranded
Hey
Not gonna leave you stranded
Oh no Oh no

Its not the angels that are on their way
It’s not the bells of Santa Trinite
The people waiting
Position vacant
For hands to help
Not just to pray

Hey, Haiti a mi amore
Haiti mon amore
Not gonna leave you stranded
Hey
Not gonna leave you stranded
Oh no Oh no
Never want to leave
Oh no

Haïti va s’élever
Tu peux te relever
Nous nous éléverons
Ensemble ensemble ensemble

Gonna put this back together but won’t break

There’s not much to say except BRILLIANT! If you haven’t given, please give. If the stories and the songs don’t inspire you, you must be dead!! Give.
