Jon Stewart vs Bill O’Reilly 2010

I hope you will take some time to watch this. If you have any interest in politics, it is astounding to me that the only guy I’ve ever seen get Bill O’Reilly to shut up and listen was Jon Stewart – Hero at Large.

Sad a comedian commands such respect. Sadder that all these opinionated jackasses on both sides have no idea what they are talking about. So take a few minutes to watch the master at work. And search Youtube to see Bill destroy others.

So how great was that? The thing I find most amusing is that Jon is one of the few people I’ve ever seen treated with respect by Bill. He didn’t really try to bully him. Only because he knows he’d lose.

Funnier still was the body language discussion. That she sat there and said that Jon shows no fear whatsoever, sitting in Bill’s environment, was both comical and impressive!

If you need another indication of just how good Jon Stewart is at this, try searching for Jim Cramer (from Mad Money) and Jon Stewart. I’ve never seen someone so thoroughly dismantled so quickly. Oh and don’t forget, so deservedly.

I find it amusing that after the interview, O’Reilly has two segments to analyze the interview – one with Laura Ingraham (bitterness embodied in a cynical “religious” persona) and one with someone to interpret the body movements of the two. It’s nice to see someone stand up to O’Reilly’s bulliness the way Jon Stewart does. Jon has a way of exposing and pointing out the absurdity of the conservative agenda (not that the liberals don’t have their own folly) that we need more of in a public way.

These 24-hour “news” channels do such a disservice to the public by filling up shows such as O’Reilly’s and others with “pundits” and experts and analysts to twist and MANIPULATE the truth so that it advances their own ideology and agenda.

I watch both shows nightly…well, Monday through Thursday (I always Tivo Stewart in case I miss it) at 11:00 pm.

No kidding. I said it many times. Feeding the public information 24 hours a day but filtering it down into 20 and 30 second segments ensures that the whole story never gets told. And the pundits get all the airtime and are allowed to voice whatever insanity spews out of their febrile, fermented brains.

I saw this earlier – you just gotta love it!

Yes, you really do. It’s a shame more conservatives don’t see his show. If they saw how he takes apart both sides daily, they’d have more respect for his opinion. O’Reilly tries to paint him liberal but the truth is he takes on anyone for their stupidity.
