Official Video – Bloodbuzz Ohio – The National

Here’s the official video for the song:

Oh man!! That cracked me right up. I love the combo of art scene indie film with the sheer nothingness of most of the scenes! Laying in a field with his foot up? And then the dance bits. Subtle, dry and very funny!!

Some more news as well. This from their site. Live show on Youtube!

“On May 15th, we’d like to invite you to tune into YouTube at 8:00 pm Eastern time for a very exciting experiment. We’ll be performing live at the Brooklyn Academy of Music Opera House and thanks to Zynch from American Express, the concert will be webcast live worldwide. All proceeds from the show will be donated to the Red Hot Organization and we’re pleased to continue supporting all of their good work fighting HIV/AIDS. The concert will be directed by DA Pennebaker and Chris Hegedus, who will also be creating a documentary introduction to air before the concert. We’d also like to remind New Yorkers that starting tonight, you’re invited to drop by the Other Music High Violet Annex every night this week to celebrate the albums release with us. We’re looking forward to a week of special performances, films, art, and fun at 13 E. 4th St. (between Broadway & Lafayette), the space next door to Other Music. We can’t tell you exactly what’s going on each night, but you won’t be disappointed.”

Enjoyed reading your blog post I’m really enjoying this song, I think it’s better just to listen to the song without the video. The first few times it came on the radio I didn’t really notice it but gradually it sort of gets a hold of you and you can’t stop listening to it. I probably say it was quite, haunting and sad. It also feels kind of lonely. It is like he ha scome back to his hometown but no longer knows anyone.

Yes it is. The video surprised me for the humour. Just a different view. Definitely a song grows slowly and doesn’t let go. Thanks for the comments!
