What a World

Sparks fly
Before the explosion
Gushing waves of black
Just the beginning of the blowback
A sea of pain to follow

That’s mine
I’ll take it from you
Do I care that it’s yours?
Slam the open doors
Your humanity dark and hollow

What a world
What a life
What are we doing?
To the earth
To ourselves
To each other

Green is gold
There is no ‘enough’
I can buy your life
Hell, I’ll buy your wife
‘Cause everything is just for me

There is one God
Mine, no mine, no mine!
I’ll fight you for my right
Pacifism is my might
Good thing He’s in control

What a world
What a life
What are we doing?
To the earth
To ourselves
To each other
